I remember very clearly the encounter with God when He first called me to do the work of intercession. I was sitting at Memorial Hall in Dayton, Ohio watching the christian rock band Vison perform. Billy Powell of Lynard Skynard had founded the band after their plane crash.
As I watched I sensed God’s Spirit nudging me to go to the counseling room and intercede. I resisted.
“God,” I said, “This is Billy Powell from Lynard Skynard.”
“So,” God replied. “Go pray.”
Finally, after Vision was done performing and the stage crew was setting up for Mylon Le Fevre I went down to the counseling room to intercede. Thus began the journey into this work of the Kingdom.
